The form asks for your name, phone number, address and a quick note on what's going on, such as water along the bottom of a wall, a cracked wall, a sump pump that keeps running or a musty smell. A few honest details help the contractor show up ready to look at the right spot.
Your request goes to one independent local contractor serving your part of Franklin County. That contractor calls to set up a visit, looks at the basement and writes up the estimate. Any agreement you sign is between you and that company alone.
- Who pays. Contractors may pay this site for advertising. You never pay us anything, and you never receive anything for sending a request.
- What we are. This site isn't a contractor, holds no City of Columbus home improvement license and gives no prices or bids of its own.
- What to ask for. The contractor's City of Columbus home improvement license for basement waterproofing, proof of insurance and a written, itemized estimate.
- Water from a floor drain? That's likely a sewer backup. In Columbus, report it to the city within 24 hours at 614-645-7102 or 311 and ask about Project Dry Basement.
